As part of preparations for the “Second Scientific Conference” which will be organized by the University for the year 2017/2018 GC, the Students Activities Committee – CBA with the cooperation of “Scientific Research Unit” organized a workshop on the topic: “Community & Volunteer Initiatives from Idea to Execution” on Wednesday 31/01/2018 GC.
The workshop was presented by Dr. Ahmad Mahmoud Zamil, Associate Professor in Marketing Department – CBA and Consultant of Vice Rectorate for Development & Quality.
Dr. Ahmad explained about the community initiatives for youths and its importance for the community in terms of investing the energies of community individuals in a positive and effective manner. He presented to the audience some examples of successful community and volunteer initiatives such as “Initiative of Al-Noor”, Initiative of Choose Your Specialization” and other initiatives as well as he indicated to basic elements of community initiative and the required ideas in the light of “Saudi Vision 2030”.
Also, he explained and analyzed the stages of community initiatives starting from an idea and reaching to its execution and the problems and obstacles facing these initiatives.
This workshop is coinciding with the preparation of the College for the Preparatory Forum which will be organized in the framework of “Second Scientific Conference” of the University. In the end of the workshop, Dr. Tarek El-Khateb, coordinator of second scientific conference, thanked to Dr. Zamil for his support and encouraged the students for active participation in the Forum.
