Students’ Activities Committee – CBA organized a lecture on Tuesday 27/03/2018 GC under the title “Legal Provisions in Conclusion of International Treaties” which was delivered by Dr. Hassan Abakkas, Assistant Professor in Law Department.
The lecture was attended by a number of faculty members and students of the College. Dr. Hassan shed light on the legal provisions in concluding the international treaties whether they are related to legal framework of process of conclusion, the stages of international treaties before its effects occur on both parties or related to its termination or kinds of termination.
The lecture was of vital importance as it focused on the mechanism of international treaties which are very important in managing the international affairs, producing the international legal texts. The “Statute of the International Court of Justice” mentions it to the list of basic resources for public international law according to article 38 thereof which grant it a distinguished position for international treaties and its impact on all members of the international community in their economic, political and social relations.
In the end, Dr. Tarek El-Khateb, Chair of Students’ Activities Committee, honored Dr. Hassan for his interaction, active participation and useful lecture.
