Under the patronage of Rector of University, the “Unit of Intellectual Awareness” in cooperation with College of Business Administration held a panel discussion under the title: “Sharai Values for Integrity and Anti-Corruption” on Thursday 22/03/2018 GC. The panel discussion was presented by Dr. Ahmed Al-Shashri, Assistant Professor in College of Science and Humanities – Hotah Bani Tamim.
The discussion focused on several sharai values which motivate to integrity and fight against corruption, specially, the values which are associated to behavioral and ethical aspects. Also, the program discussed the types of corruption and its causes, main priorities of the national strategy for protection of integrity and fight against corruption, role of educational institutions in protecting the integrity, honesty and fight against corruption, strengthening the ethical behavior of individuals of community and developing the religious conscience in them. Dr. Ahmed stressed the role of universities as educational institutions in promoting the principles and values of integrity and educating the community through the specialized programs. He also stressed the importance of integrity and strengthening religious conscience, patriotism and sincere belonging to the Nation to protect the Kingdom's achievements. Also, he indicated to the efforts made to promote, develop and strengthen the cooperation in the field of protection of integrity and combating corruption.
In the end, Dr. Al-Shathri responded to the questions and queries of the audience. Also, he was honored and appreciated for presentation on such interesting topic which is one of the most important topics which are given priorities at the present time.
