As part of preparation for “Seventh Scientific Conference for Students of Higher Education in K.S.A, the College of Business Administration organized a workshop entitled: “Small Projects and Business Production” under the auspices of Honorable Dean Dr. Nasser S. Al-Kahtani. The workshop was managed by coordinator of the College for seventh conference Dr. Fakhreldin Mousa Mohamed and presented by Dr. Tarek Taufique El-Khateb, Assistant Professor in Marketing Department.
Dr. Tarek presented the concept of small projects and the criteria used in its classification as well as mentioned its importance in the Saudi National Economy, specially, at the present time. He shed light on all the obstacles and problems facing the youths to establish small projects, methods to overcome them and opportunities.
Also, he briefed about the experiences of other countries in regard to small projects and business production such as U.S.A, Japan, Malaysia and Egypt etc. He concluded his presentation by describing some bodies which support the small projects in the Kingdom like: “King Salman Social Center”, “Deputy Ministry of Social Affairs for Social Security”, “Riyadh Chamber of Commerce” and “Bab Rizq Abdullatif Jameel Project”.
In the end, Dr. Fakhreldin Mohamed encouraged students for participation and expressed his hope that the workshop helped to motivate students for participations in the “Seventh Scientific Conference for Students of Higher Education in K.S.A.
