Under the patronage of Honorable Dean Dr. Nasser S. Al-Kahtani and in the presence of Honorable Vice Dean Dr. Ali bin Saleh Al-Zahrani and Admin Manager Mr. Mohammed Abdulmatloob Hamdan, the Students Activities Committee (SAC) of the College organized a lecture entitled “Entrepreneurship in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia between reality and expectation”.
The lecture was presented by Dr. Tarek Taufique El-Khateb, Assistant Professor in Marketing Department.
The lecture elaborated the entrepreneurship, its definition, concept, benefits of projects of entrepreneurship, its impact on individual and community from modern economic perspective, constraints facing the projects of entrepreneurship in K.S.A and youths’ fear of entrepreneurship.
Also, Dr. Tarek described the relation of entrepreneurship with Saudi market, reality of entrepreneurship projects in Saudi Universities, mechanism to activate and improve the projects of entrepreneurship in the Kingdom, and characteristics & skills of a successful entrepreneur.
He concluded his lecture with important advices to the future entrepreneurs and gave examples of some entrepreneurship projects. In the end, the attendee students were given incentive prizes through draw system.
