As part of preparations of College of Business Administration for the Second Scientific Conference which will be organized by Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University for the Year 2017/2018 GC, the Students’ Activities Committee organized the fourth workshop on “Entrepreneurship” on 05/12/2017 GC which was presented by Dr. Ahmed Suhail Ajina, Head of Marketing Department and Vice Dean for Quality & Development.
Dr. Ajina discussed the mistakes made by students while preparing the proposals for entrepreneurship and focused on several important issues that can help to prepare competitive proposals for entrepreneurship like specifying the target segment in the project, setting time table, identifying the social impact of project and designing a plane to manage the financial aspects. Also, he stressed the importance of economic feasibility study of the entrepreneurial projects, designing a plane to manage and execute the project and “marketing plane” for the project that can guarantee the good marketing of the products of entrepreneurial projects.
It is worth mentioning that this workshop aimed to support the students in business industry projects and present successful experiences that will strengthen the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among students and researchers.
In the end of the workshop, the students were introduced to the “center” (Rowwad) which has been established in the University as one of the initiatives of “National Transformation 2020”. Dr. Ajina explained vision, mission and objectives of the Center and its role in supporting the entrepreneurial activity at the University level.
