Under the patronage of Honorable Dean Dr. Nasser S. Al-Kahtani, Honorable Vice Dean Dr. Ali bin Saleh Al-Zahrani and Admin Manager Mr. Mohammed Abdulmatloob Hamdan, the Department of Marketing had organized the “Marketing Talent Search Carnival” and “Global Village” which witnessed great turnout. Honorable Rector of the University visited the carnival and global village as well as listened to the participations of students.
The Carnival was organized as a Value Addition to the courses “Principles of Marketing” and “International Business Management” which are being taught as college required courses. The Carnival aimed to discover the talents, improve marketing abilities and increase the interest of students in marketing profession.
More than 125 participations of students were there in the Carnival which displayed multi varied products such as mobile phones, dates, homemade foods, flowers, perfumes etc. and different cultures such as Chinese, Indian and Egyptian etc.
The Carnival continued for 4 hours and then the students were evaluated by a specialized Committee which has a set of standards for evaluations such as size of sales, display method and innovation in marketing efforts. The winners were awarded and all the participants received participation certificates.
Honorable Supervisor of Marketing Department extended his thanks to all participant students and appreciated the efforts made by faculty members of Marketing Department and Administrative Team of the College in making the Carnival a success. Also, he thanked Honorable Dean of the College for his support and patronage.
