The “Justice Club” of College of Business Administration organized a lecture under the title of: “Judicial Verdicts and Interpretation of Judgments” on Monday 16/04/2018 GC which was presented by Dr. Shady Hegazy, Assistant Professor in Law Department. The lecture was attended by a number of faculty members and students of the College.
The lecture discussed the objectives of commenting on judicial verdicts, components of a judicial verdict, interpretation of legal texts in cases of mistake, deficiency and ambiguity. Also, Dr. Shady indicated to methods to interpret the legal texts which include jurisprudence and judicial interpretation in addition to steps to comment on legal texts and it includes formal analysis such as making sure the branch of law to which the text belongs and whether the text is “Jus Cogens” or complementary texts. Also, he addressed the substantive analysis of the text and the stages of judicial verdicts. In the end, Dr. Shady responded to the queries of audience.
