Under the patronage of Rector of University, the “Unit of Intellectual Awareness” in cooperation with “Justice Club” of College of Business Administration organized a workshop under the title of: “The Place of Intellect in Islam” on Wednesday 28/03/2018 GC which was presented by Dr. Naef bin Ammar Al-Dawsari. The workshop was attended by a number of faculty members and students of the College.
Dr. Naef shed light on intellect and its importance for humans stressing that it is one of the five essentials which must be maintained as it distinguishes the humans from other creatures. He talked as well about the methods and means to nourish and develop the intellect saying that it can be developed through getting knowledge as well as through practical and life experiences, workshops, training sessions, thinking, reasoning and meeting with scholars, thinkers and jurists (Foqahas). Also, he mentioned the means that can destroy the intellect like drugs, intoxicants and bad companions. In the end, Dr. Naef responded to the questions and queries of faculty members and students.
Dr. Tarek El-Khateb, Chair of Students’ Activities Committee, presented the “Certificate of Appreciation” to Dr. Naef Al-Dawsari for his useful lecture and support to students’ activities in the College.
