With cooperation between the “Cultural & Social Activities in CBA” and “Anti-Drug Awareness Committee” in Deanship of Students’ Affairs, an awareness program was organized on harms of drugs and its effects on intelligence capabilities on Tuesday 17/04/2018 GC.
The program was presented by Dr. Mohammed bin Husain Qisi, Vice Dean of College of Sciences and Humanities in the presence of Dr. Omar Mohammed Deen, member of “Anti-Drug Awareness Committee, Dr. Abdullah Al-Shutaili, Vice Dean of Students’ Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Suhail Ajina, Dean of College of Business Administration, faculty members and students of College.
Dr. Mohammed shed light on drugs, types of drugs, prevalence of drugs in different countries of world, its effect on youths in committing the crimes which sometime lead to kill their relatives and friends. He said that around 5% of total population of world is drug-addicted and Afghanistan is the world’s most productive country for drugs. Also, he mentioned the method of protection from drugs and effect of religious conscience in protection from drug addiction.
Dr. Omar Mohammed Deen talked about reasons of drugs abuse and explained its unlawfulness from Sharia and Law as well as he shed light on the stages of prohibition of alcohol/wine in Islam for its social and psychological effects on individual and community. Dr. Ahmed Suhail Ajina, Dean of College motivated the students to avoid bad companions and take benefit from students activities which are organized in College as well as University stressing that these activities hone the skills of students, have a big role to make their personality and help them to find best job opportunities.
In the end, some prizes were distributed to students through draw system and Dr. Ahmed Suahil Ajina granted the “Certificate of Appreciation” to honorable guests and thanked the Deanship of Students’ Affairs for its support and cooperation.
